Register now please to be a part of this year’s Marbella Community Get-together. Our last two summits really did sum it up and we have clearly detected what is missing in our international community and what we, as a community, can do to resolve these issues that frequently only affect us, the expats, the foreigners.
This year’s event is in collaboration with our local consuls and other emblematic community members such as school directors, presidents of charities and associations, press, restaurants, bars, clubs and discotheque owners, and anyone in a position to offer their services to our community and one another.
Organised by Nicole King’s Marbella Now TV (which has just been awarded 1st place by Linea Directa for our social value with our #ZeroHero designated driver incentive) and televised via RTV Marbella, the aim of the day is to unite all the nationalities living here and give residents a voice to identify issues in Marbella that can be resolved together.
Everyone is welcome to share his or her ideas and experiences. The event is being held in English but translators are available.
REGISTER NOW – UNMS2018 – This year we’re putting the solutions to the most important points raised by the community in the previous events that most need our immediate attention
Remember: Entrance is free thanks to our sponsors Linea Directa and their road traffic safety Foundation and for those who wish to get to know one another a little better, from 2.30 to 4.30pm there will be a cocktail luncheon at Velvet Marbella for 50€ charge. The networking cocktail luncheon will be a unique opportunity to continue discussions and establish new contacts.
More details of the day below the registration form: Thank you
Format for the day:
Registration 9.30am (payment for breakfast and or lunch if applicable) please bring identification (passport / NIE) prompt start 10 am.
From 10 until 2, there will be three sessions focussing on issues that relate to the three generations in Marbella with a very special guest panel. The event is FREE ENTRANCE.
- We will be establishing a communication grapevine network to connect our multinational community along our 27 km coastline .
- We will see how we can help promote all year round business by participating in community events and activities, such as:
i) Providing our younger international community members with safe and suitable hang-out spaces. Our 13 – 17 year olds need our cinemas, restaurants, sports clubs etc., to create specific activities and low prices just for them! This is an ideal way to help your community whilst investing in your own business to create customer loyalty with the adult of tomorrow, with their family to ensure a continued and loyal local customer base.
ii) We will be establishing the businesses taking part in the #ZeroHero project (rewarding the designated driver with free soft drinks and distributing the disposable breathalyers, posters and wristbands to participating companies at the event. Looking out for your customers’ well being will make them want to come back – if you care, they will too.
iii) Our ageing and isolated members of our community are a growing concern.
For our over 50’s– Organising volunteers and identifying those in need of assistance with Health care, nursing support, isolation, pensions and estate planning
For our single “ladies and gents”, many alone due to bereavement or separation – don’t necessarily need to travel or dine alone… communal restaurant areas are just one suggestion, we know you have more!
iv) Supporting local Spanish orphans by promoting integration within our international community once they come of age and leave “home”. Many businesses and charities can benefit from this incentive.
v) Restaurants and clubs can help with charity events year round, creating customer loyalty within the local customer base and helping support those in need.
This is a unique opportunity to be a part of something special, to help others help themselves and help ourselves in the process; we hope to see you there! Limited seating so register now.
Georgina Shaw from Shaw Marketing Services will be leading the event and we have a very prestigious panel of community members to help us keep the pace!
This will be an interesting, engaging day which will appeal to any community spirited individual who loves Marbella and wants to be a key player in making it an even better place to live, work and holiday.
From 2.30 – 4.30 Optional Cocktail luncheon at Velvet Marbella
